Countdown Timer

Wedding, launch day, vacation, deadline โ€” name the moment, set the date, and watch the seconds melt away. Pure anticipation, delivered one tick at a time.

Set a date and time, then hit Start. The countdown ticks in your browser โ€” nothing is uploaded.

How to use

  1. Name your event (optional). Type something like "Product launch" or "Jess's birthday" so the countdown feels personal.
  2. Pick the date and time. Use the date-time field to choose exactly when the moment arrives, in your local time zone.
  3. Hit "Start countdown". Big day/hour/minute/second cards appear and tick every second until the moment arrives.
  4. Stop or reset anytime. The Stop / Reset button clears the interval and the display instantly โ€” no lingering timers in the background.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set a countdown to a specific date?

Enter an optional event name, pick your date and time in the date-time field, and press "Start countdown." The timer updates every second with days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining until your moment arrives.

What happens when my countdown reaches zero?

When the clock hits zero the timer stops automatically and shows a "Time's up!" message with your event name. No more ticking, no wasted resources โ€” the interval is cleared the moment the countdown finishes.

Can I count down to something in the past?

No โ€” the timer only counts down to the future. If you enter a date and time that's already gone by, you'll get a friendly message: "That moment has already passed." Double-check the date and try again.

Does the countdown keep running if I close the tab?

No. This is a lightweight in-page timer โ€” it ticks only while the page is open, in your browser's local time zone. Leave the tab open (a second screen or pinned tab works great) and it'll be there counting down.

Is my event name or date sent anywhere?

Never. Everything happens locally in your browser โ€” no uploads, no tracking, no storage. Your plans stay your business.
