About these tools
Security you can generate
The password generator creates strong passwords using your browser's cryptographic random number generator โ the same grade of randomness your operating system uses for encryption keys. Pick a length (18+ characters is a comfortable default) and character sets, and every password is unique and unguessable. Because generation happens on your device, your passwords never travel across the network at all.
The QR code generator turns any link or text into a scannable code you can download as a PNG. Keep it classic black-and-white for maximum compatibility, or flip on styled mode for brand colors, rounded dots, and your logo in the center โ the corner squares stay solid so phones can always lock on. Print at 512 px or higher and always test-scan with your phone before printing in bulk.
Fair randomness for games and giveaways
The dice roller covers d4 through d100, one die or a whole handful, with the total tallied โ tabletop RPGs, board games, and classroom probability demos without hunting for physical dice. The random name picker draws a winner from any list you paste in, or shuffles the whole list โ raffles, giveaways, picking presentation order, settling debates.
The random number generator produces crypto-random numbers from 1 to 10 digits, leading zeros allowed โ which makes it genuinely useful for PIN codes, verification codes, and one-time tokens, not just a toy. Like everything here, the randomness comes from crypto.getRandomValues(), not the weaker Math.random(), so the output is suitable for security-adjacent uses like tokens and salts.
And when the choice itself is the problem, the decision wheel takes over: list up to twelve options, spin, and let the wheel pick. The winner is chosen with cryptographic randomness, so every option gets a fair shot โ perfect for settling debates, picking restaurants, or drawing giveaway winners on a video call.
A note on fairness: true randomness includes streaks and repeats. If your dice roller shows three 20s in a row, that's not a bug โ that's probability showing off.
Questions, answered
Is the randomness truly random?
The generators use your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source operating systems use for encryption keys โ far stronger than the basic Math.random() found in most toy generators.
Are the passwords safe to actually use?
Yes. They're generated locally on your device and never sent anywhere. Use a unique generated password per account, store them in a password manager, and turn on two-factor authentication where it's offered.
Will styled QR codes still scan?
Yes. Styled mode keeps the three corner finder squares solid, preserves the quiet zone, and switches to the highest error correction when you add a logo. Still, always test-scan with your phone before printing.
